BURMA EMBRACES AFRICAN SUNSHINE!
UNDER THE AFRICAN SUN
Burma Plant Hire is proud to be a 100% South African owned company that assists the mining and road building sectors in Southern Africa through excellent service delivery. It is under this harsh but life giving African sun that our staffers toil daily – moving the earth for you.
THE WARM-HEARTED BURMA FAMILY
At Burma we pride ourselves on our sense of family and community. We like to celebrate the sunshine and personal achievements that enter into our employees’ lives, as well as their professional milestones reached. When the sun shines bright in the lives
PLENTY OF SUNSHINE FOR ALTA DU TOIT
The 2017 Sonskynfees, of which Burma is chief sponsor was a great fundraising success for its beneficiary, the Alta Du Toit Aftercare Centre that caters for adults with special needs. We are truly honoured to bring a few rays of sunshine in to the lives of the centre’s clients. This is African Sunshine that truly warms the heart! Thanks to all who participated and contributed to this wonderful event that took place in March.
THE NUMBERS CAMPAIGN
We decided to ‘run the numbers’ to measure our achievements over the past few years by using the hard stats. It’s a great way to see what we are delivering to our customers. Here are the results:
We currently have 600 machines in our extensive fleet working throughout Southern Africa (SA and Namibia) moving the earth for our clients in the mining and road construction sectors. 175 of these are dedicated LDV’s (Light Duty Vehicles). The largest of our machines weighs in at a staggering 75 tons, namely the CAT 374 Excavator, while the Komatsu 375 Dozer has a fuel capacity of 1200 litres – a not unimpressive size!
The number of wheels rolling at any given time across Southern Africa is 2 658 where we are hard at work. Our team drive up to 1 900 000 km for you on a monthly basis, moving the earth far and wide.
Burma Plant Hire has a dedicated staff complement of 712 hard working individuals and we are growing all the time. These loyal workers are employed at our 11 branches located countrywide. It’s every one of these people that helps make our company what it is. We’ve had 1 725 page likes since creating our new Facebook page in October 2014 and would love to invite you to join our community: www.facebook.com/www.burma.co.za
It has been 14 years since we first started service to the industry in 2003 and if we have anything to say about it, that number of years will grow to 114 and more! As long as there is earth to be moved, Burma Plant Hire hopes to be at the forefront of operations.
